Effingham Sixth Form

Sixth Form Centre

TThe Felstead Centre, our Sixth Form building, was officially opened on Prize Giving Day 2018.

The Centre is named after Sister Catherine and Sister Clare Felstead, who were sisters and both nuns at the school, and provides a wonderful space including fabulous common room and lecture theatre for the Sixth Form students.

With the first phase completed in 2018, our Sixth Form Centre is bright and welcoming, and responds perfectly to the challenges of A Level student life.

The 124-seat lecture theatre is a key aspect of our Sixth Form, with students learning in a university-style setting.

A green oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Sixth Form life, the courtyard will also provide a cloistered walkway connecting the new buildings with the Felstead Centre.

Students will partake of a variety of meal options in a vibrant atmosphere in our modern and relaxed café.

Budding engineers and product designers alike will enjoy our brand-new DT workshop.

The existing Sixth Form will have a new covered walkway linking the two buildings together, and a new picture window into the main hall will establish a visual tie.

From our 25m indoor pool to equestrian and multi-sport, all-weather pitches, the addition of a full-sized rugby pitch and a Wednesday games afternoon, we enjoy some of the most advanced and most varied sports facilities in the area, with more to come!

Our new multigym will be equipped with an up-to-date variety of machines and weights, suitable for all abilities and interests.

Our refurbished Astro provides multi-functionality, and will be complemented by a new rugby pitch on the field.
